This Privacy Policy advises you how we collect, use and store the data that you provide to us.
Our legal basis for processing data
Data Processing is necessary for the purposes of entering into contracts with our clients (contractual basis) and legitimate interests pursued by Marika Training Limited (legitimate interest basis) except where such interests are overridden by the interests, rights or freedoms of the data subject (you).
What we collect and the purpose of its use
We retain basic contact information (name, email, telephone number) on individuals working for organisations of legitimate interest to our business and maintain a record of key interactions, contracts and negotiations.
If you share information with us on this website it will stay with us. It will not be passed onto any third parties without your explicit consent which we will contact you to obtain. It will only be used for the purpose stated when you shared it.
What this means:
- If you email us directly, we will use that information to contact you for the purposes of your query. Please be aware that it is the sender’s responsibility to ensure that the content of their emails is within the bounds of the law. Unsolicited material of a criminal nature will be reported to the relevant authorities and blocked.
- We will not disclose your personal data to third parties except in instances where an individual has consented to the disclosure, or we are obliged by law to disclose the data. Third parties to whom we may disclose information include organisations such as An Garda Síochána.
- If you sign-up to our newsletter, we will add you to our email distribution list and we will contact you whenever we have a new blog post or related content. Every email contact will have an unsubscribe option so you will be in control. We use MailChimp as our marketing automation platform. By clicking to submit the opt-in form, you acknowledge that the information you provide will be transferred to MailChimp for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.
- If you book a discovery call with us, we use Calendly as our online appointment platform. By clicking to submit the booking appointment, you acknowledge the information you provide will be transferred to Calendly for processing in accordance with their Privacy Policy and Terms.
When we collect this information
We collect this information if you sign up to our newsletter, during our meetings and /or telephone conversations, or via contractual agreements. This can be at any stage during your relationship with us.
How we store this information
We hold the information electronically on secure personal computers and personal cloud-based storage.
Your information is used to contact you from time to time about:
- topics we believe you are interested in hearing our opinion about
- arranging meetings with you
- agreeing contractual arrangements with you
We will never share, sell or lease your data.
Length of data retention
We will hold your personal information on our systems for as long as it is necessary for the relevant activity, or as long as it is set out in our contract with you.

You have a right to obtain a copy of the personal information that we hold about you free of charge and within one month of the request.

If you would like us at any time to delete your information we will gladly do so. Simply email us with the request and we will action it immediately on receipt.

We take your privacy seriously and will only use your data to administer your contract with us and to keep you updated about services we provide to you or are similar in nature to services you have previously bought from us or expressed an interest in.
